She was in second
standard, when she took her first step to stop domestic violence which was
happening with her mother. At that time, the small kid didn’t even know what
domestic violence is but she stood in front of the 5’8 man and pushed him
against the wall. She held her mother’s hand and went to her grandmother’s
house, leaving her father alone. She
took the first step towards her individuality.
A new chapter was
introduced in the class on Jainism and Buddhism. Students understood about her
religion that she is a member of one of the two principal sects of Jainism and
male ascetic members of this sect do not wear clothes. When asked from her,
from which sects she belongs to, she answered,” I am a jain-digambar girl.” Her
classmates after the school got over, in order to tease her on the basis of
religion, asked her to remove her clothes. When she was 12 years old, she was been
bullied by her classmates but she did not fear. She thrashed one of the boys
with brick to save herself from bullying.
By the age of 15, she
with the support of her mother opened an NGO and started helping the kids of
age 1- 10 years old. She discovered her unconditional love for kids while
enjoying motherhood with those kids. It was all this that she was learning
every day and how to cope up with difficulties. After completing her 12th,
she started working with many social activists and worked on campaigns for kids
and women. Despite of not getting any support this time from her family, she
moved on, rumbling her individuality.
While pursuing her
graduation, her mother met an accident. Instead of finding help from others,
she took her own steps and did each and everything to care of her mother. On
the path of becoming a strong independent woman, she learnt how to withstand
and absorb pain of life. She even lived in an abusive relationship with a
person but instead of living in that pain, she fought and moved out from the
negativism of life. She with her smile moved on and on and today she is a
successful entrepreneur, running 10 NGO and helping others to achieve the best
in life.
She discovered her
individuality and it’s important for every woman to learn how to be a beacon in
the stormy days of life and understand the deeper life experiences. At the end one
has to be the one that she wants to become not what the world wants. It
requires courage to stand alone and fight against the difficulties. Embrace your individuality.
